Christopher Thomas Daughdrill, affectionately known as Chris, passed away at the age of 48, on October 20, 2023, in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 17, 1975, in Jackson, Mississippi. Chris had a successful career working offshore for 28 years.

Chris was a man who cherished his time at home with Lauren and their two sons, Brayden Thomas Daughdrill and Brantley Tyler Daughdrill. They were truly the love of his life. He was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and the joy he found in spending quality time with them.

An ardent fan of Mississippi State University. He enjoyed cheering for them during thrilling games but didn't limit himself to just one sport. Chris followed various sports passionately, although he admitted that golf was not among his favorites. Additionally, he had a knack for Fantasy Football and proudly proclaimed himself as the "King of the Grill." His culinary skills made him the go-to person for delicious barbecues and grilled delights.

Generosity defined Chris's character. He possessed a selfless nature that led him to helping others over fulfilling his own needs or desires. Whether it was offering a lending hand or going out of his way to assist someone in need, Chris exemplified compassion and kindness throughout his life.

Chris brought abundant joy wherever he went and never failed to light up any gathering. With his infectious energy and vibrant personality, he had an unmatched ability to lift spirits and create unforgettable memories. The phrase "life of the party" perfectly encapsulated his vivacious nature – he couldn't be outdone when it came to celebrating life.

A visitation will be held on October 27, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, 1360 W Government St.  Funeral services will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 PM.  The burial will take place at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. Art Kinstley, his father Mike Crotwell, father-in-law Eric Applewhite, uncle Archie Kinstley, and his cousin Nancy Brown. He is survived by Lauren Daughdrill and their two sons, Brayden Thomas Daughdrill and Brantley Tyler Daughdrill, his mother, Gary Kinstley Crotwell and his grandmother Nancy Kinstley. Chris also leaves behind his sister Stephanie C. Stringer and her husband Jonathan, his brother Cody Daughdrill and his wife, Kecia, his sister Tiffany Wooley and her husband Kyle, and mother-in-law Cindy Applewhite, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chris Thomas Daughdrill will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, generosity, and zest for life will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
