Christopher G. Davis, 62, passed away September 9, 2024 in Sun City, Arizona.
He was born July 25, 1962 in Tucson, Arizona.
As a young child, he and his older brother, Mark, were like twins and grew up together and remained close. They were both good swimmers and were on a Phoenix swim team together. They did lots of fun activities: went to church, did the Indian guide program with their dad – they had a good life.
As a teen, he loved hiking and camping out. He attended the National Leadership School and traveled to various places in the world learning survival training. He was the star in a play "Stop the World – I Want to Get Off".
As a young man, Chris learned masonry, carpentry and drove for a road building company. He left home at an early age and after a few years, became a marine. He excelled and had several meritorious promotions and awards.
He became a Christian and went into Youth With a Mission (YWAM). While in the Philippines, he met and married his wife, Malou. Later on they had their daughter, Sarah. At this time, he became a travel agent for prestige travel at American Express and had clients that were the wealthiest in the world.
He also was an Arizona Leader for Club Med. He would travel and loved his jobs. When the planes hit the towers in New York, his position came to an end and he chose to go back to driving trucks for construction companies. He loved this job also. He was good at what he did. He was also proud of his tree trimming business which was called Clean Cut Tree Service. Besides loving to travel, Chris was a history buff. He would have loved to teach it. He watched both the travel and history channels. He was a very intelligent person. He loved art, drawing and was a great photographer. He loved early mornings and sunrises. He had a big heart of love and compassion, showing care for the homeless and helpless. He was a wonderful and special individual and he will be sorely missed. He is now in Heaven with Jesus.
Chris is predeceased by his brother, Mark Davis; father, Don Davis; and niece, Cynthia. He is survived by his mate, Malou Davis; daughter, Sarah Davis; mother, Louise (Davis) Moore; sister, Elizabeth (Dave) Burress; brother, Andrew (Heather) Davis; aunt, Nancy (John) Broderick; uncle, Jack (Sandy) Tower; and several cousins.
A memorial graveside service for Chris will take place Friday, September 20, 2024 at 9:00 am at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Teen Challenge of Arizona.
