Christopher Todd Davis, a man of faith, gentleness, and adventure, passed away peacefully at the age of 60 on January 29, 2025, in Lebanon, Missouri. Born on March 15, 1964, in Buchanan, Michigan, Christopher was a beacon of light and inspiration to all who knew him. His battle with cancer, COPD, and congestive heart failure demonstrated his courage in facing life challenges with a smile, and despite the pain, Christopher stayed strong until the end.
Survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Terri Davis, Christopher's legacy of love and dedication lives on through his family. His two daughters, Kristen Davis and Kaitlyn, along with her husband Cameron Strong, brought him immeasurable joy. His role as a grandfather to Klara Strong and Elliott Bankston was one of his most cherished titles, and his love for them was boundless. Christopher also leaves behind his father, Owan Davis, his brother Roger and sister-in-law Rhonda Davis, his half-brother Brian Davis, a nephew Josh Davis, and two nieces, Ally Jones and Ashley Burdick Ito. He is now reunited in death with his mother, Ellen Davis, his biological father, his grandparents, and a younger brother, whose memories remain a source of comfort and strength to the family.
Christopher's educational journey was unique; he tested out of school early, only to rediscover his passion for learning in midlife. He embraced the challenge of going back to college, where he thrived in absorbing the new technologies that shape our society. His intellectual curiosity and zest for knowledge were truly inspiring.Professionally, Christopher was a man of many talents. As a certified HVAC professional, roofer, and an excelled painter, he was known for his meticulous work and all-around handyman skills. His craftsmanship and dedication to his work were evident in every project he undertook, leaving a lasting impression on all who benefitted from his expertise.
Beyond his professional life, Christopher was a child prodigy pianist, a talent that brought beauty and harmony to the lives of those around him. His love for writing poetry reflected his deep and thoughtful nature, while his cherished garden was a testament to his patience and connection to the earth. An avid reader, he found solace and adventure within the pages of a good book. However, it was the simple pleasures in life, like cooking with his daughters and watching movies, that he valued the most. These moments of shared laughter and love were the highlights of his days.
Christopher's life was a living example of his faith-filled spirit. He approached each day with a gentle heart and an adventurous soul, touching the lives of many with his kindness and warmth. His presence was a comfort, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
