MISSOULA ~ Chris entered into Heaven on July 8, 2025 at age 48 at his home in Missoula, Montana following an unexpected cardiac event.
He was born and raised in the Spokane Valley. He believed in the Lord from a young age. The simplest pleasures in life brought Chris great joy. He lived life to the fullest. He was a fearless, daring lifelong skier and a lover of adventure - camping, hiking, fishing, and anything outdoors. His loud, infectious personality defined him. "Doty" possessed an uncanny ability to form lasting bonds with friends from all walks of life. He held his high school friends close to his heart.
Chris' passion was glassblowing. A natural entrepreneur, he thrived in managing and owning his glass shops. He was truly in his element when creating his art and connecting with customers. He felt privileged to be a part of the artistic community that surrounded him.
Elijah James Doty was the center of Chris' universe. An immensely devoted father and mentor, Chris taught Elijah discipline, kindness, honesty, and the joy of adventure.
Chris is survived by his son Elijah (11); parents Larry and Sharon Doty; brother Ryan (Tamara); grandmother Evelyn VanHorne; nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life event will be held in September 2025 in Missoula and Spokane.
*Remember Chris for his zest for life and genuine caring spirit that he gifted to all of us.*
