Christopher T. Downs, age 74, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on September 29, 2022.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Phyllis Jeanne (nee Murphy) Downs.
Christopher was a graduate of Villanova University. He went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Christopher was employed as an international airline pilot and was a Captain with U.S. Airways. He was an avid traveler and golfer who played at Radley Run Country Club as well as golf courses worldwide. He also enjoyed skydiving and photography.
Christopher is survived by his beloved wife, Gail McIntyre; his loving stepchildren, Kaitlin Primavera (Jeremy Marino) and Christopher Primavera (Tiffany); and step-grandchildren, Aiden, Caroline, and Jack. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Barbara L. Hatch (Frank) and Carolyn M. Downs, as well as his niece, Krista J. Hatch and nephew, Brian F. Hatch (Christina). Christopher is predeceased by his brother, Eugene F. Downs.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Thursday, October 6, 2022, 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by his Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, would be appreciated.
