Christopher Fiala, age 58, passed away on December 23, 2025. He was born on September 4, 1967.
Chris was a devoted husband to his wife, Carolyn, and together they built a home rooted in love, care, and generosity. Their marriage was central to Chris's life, and he took great pride in the family and home they shared.
Chris was an incredibly giving person who loved his home, his family, and the animals that were part of his everyday life. He found peace and purpose working outdoors and took satisfaction in caring for the people and places he loved. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, kindness, and quiet dedication to others.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Pfeiffer-Fiala, and his five children: Melissa Pfeiffer-Fiala (Joe), Thomas Pfeiffer-Fiala, Lux Pfeiffer-Fiala (Bradley), Trever Pfeiffer-Fiala, and Marisa Koch (Austin).
In honor of Chris and the life he cherished, a celebration of life will be held in early summer, when family and friends can gather to remember him in a way that reflects his love of home, nature, and togetherness.
Donations may be made to the Portage County APL in Chris's name.
