Michael Patrick "Mike" Burrell, age 76 of Akron passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. He was born in Akron on March 25, 1949 to the late John W. and Kathleen {Zachardy} Burrell.
Mike is survived by his loving daughter Carrie Ann Burrell; grandchildren Tabitha Ann Burrell and Jonathan Michael Burrell; great-grandson Angelo Michael Burrell-Jones; former spouse Sherry Tyrrell.
Mike was a proud Army veteran serving from January 1970 through February 1975. He enjoyed all water aports, golfing, camping and softball. Mike lived in the Los Angeles area for over 20 years, and worked as a Supervisor for LA Parks and Recreation. He retired in 2004 and eventually returned to Ohio, he will be remembered for his quick wit and devotion to his daughter and grandchildren who he loved with all his heart.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
