Christopher Richard Gallegos

Christopher Richard "Chris" Gallegos, 41, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Born November 2, 1983, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, he was the son of Ruben Richard Gallegos and Shirley Ann Wolfe Paige. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle, whose life was marked by joy, laughter, and generosity.

Chris graduated from Beech High School in 2002, where he undoubtedly made lasting memories with both friends and classmates. Following his education, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Those who knew Chris cherished his vibrant spirit; he was the life of the party and had a beautiful smile that could light up any room. His charming personality and selfless nature left a profound impact on everyone around him. Chris loved his nieces and nephews dearly, embracing the role of an affectionate uncle with enthusiasm. He often thought he was funny, and those close to him appreciated his playful humor.

Preceding him in death were his son, Tonka Caine Gallegos; his brother Ryan Gallegos; and his dear friend Michael "Mikey" Shadden.

Chris leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Mercedes Gallegos; his mother, Shirley A. Paige; his father, Ruben Richard (Christine) Gallegos; his stepchildren Amanda Alvarez, Jeremiah Alvarez, Ramon Rentas, Patricia and Victoria Moya; his stepfathers, Charles E. Patten Sr. and Kevin L. Paige; his siblings, Charles E. (Jessica) Patten, Jr., Kimberly A. Gallegos, Monica L. Paige, James T. Paige, Kelly Gallegos, and Sydney Gallegos. He is also remembered fondly by his nephews and nieces, Charles E. Patten III, Orion C. Patten, Audrey M. Mitchell-Patten, Bradyn R. Gallegos, Korbyn Gallegos, Kylie Gallegos, Rylie Brown, Javon Brown, and Christopher & Mercedes. 

The family invites all who knew Chris to join them in celebrating his life. Visitation will take place on September 6, from 1PM to 2PM, followed by a celebration of his life at 2PM, both events held at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066.

Chris will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will continue to resonate through the hearts of many.
