Christopher Godfrey
January 6, 1973 – June 25, 2025
Christopher Godfrey, 52, of Rochester, passed away surrounded by his wife and children on June 25, 2025. Born on January 6, 1973, Chris was a lifelong resident of the Rochester area. He is survived by his wife Linda Godfrey, the children they shared: Megan Godfrey, Jacob Godfrey, Luke Morgan and Jax Godfrey; His parents Richard and Donna Godfrey; his brother Brian (Tammie) Godfrey, his sister Paula (George) Vaisey, along with many extended family members and close friends who were like family.
Chris spent more than two decades working in highway maintenance for various municipalities. But more than anything, Chris was a family man. He was born to be a husband and a father, and he lived everyday with that purpose in his heart. He shared a deep and lasting bond with his spouse, and together they raised four children who were the center of his world. His family was everything to him and his love for them was clear in every choice he made. His children were his greatest achievement, every moment, every lesson taught, every sacrifice-was for them.
Chris touched countless lives with his presence, sense of humor and his unforgettable spirit. He had a way of lighting up a room with his humor and heart. He never missed a punch line, and there isn't a person who knew him who doesn't have a story to tell-funny, moving, or unforgettable.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
On Monday, July 7, 2025, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass t 10:00AM at St. Leo's Church, 110 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton, New York. Interment, private

I am sorry to hear about the loss of Chris. I worked with Chris while he was working with the NYS DOT. He always had a reason why he had to lay down and sleep while we were out working but he always had us laughing when he was awake. Chris will be truly missed by everyone that he made friends with.
