Gates: Thursday, August 28, 2025, at age 92. Predeceased by her parents, Semplicio & Irma Cotturone. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Silvano Orsi, Sr.; children, Silvano D. Orsi, Jr., Emma I. (Jose) Orsi-Derisi; grandsons, Nicholas and Joseph Derisi; sister, Gabriella Ciccarelli; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in the United States, Italy, and Canada.
Marusca was trained as a tailor in Italy. She emigrated to Rochester in 1959. She was a retiree of Rochester Products (GM) and was a UAW Union Member. She was one of the founding members of the Italian American Community Center in the Town of Gates. She loved her family, her home, and cooking. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Friends may call Thursday from 5:00-7:00 pm at DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Friday, Sept. 5, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Theodore Church, 168 Spencerport Road. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Open Door Mission (https://opendoormission.com) or Catholic Charities (https://ww2.fcscharities.org), in her memory.
