Christopher Stanley Green passed away peacefully at home. Chris was a loving father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He was an expert fisherman, mentor, confidante, mechanic extraordinaire and so many things to many people. From infancy in Bridgewater MA, his family moved to Long Island NY, Leominster MA, and Buck's County PA. In 1972 they settled in Harwich and it has been home ever since. A graduate of Harwich High School, Chris was crew for some of the legendary captains of his time and is remembered as captain of his own boats, the Jugo and the Milkweed.
Chris was pre-deceased by his father, Joseph Green. He leaves his daughter Amy Green and grandson Emmett Downes, sister Valerie Bell with husband Herb and family, sister Karen Duncan with husband Jack and family, former wife Wendy Green and his mother, Gloria Green. He will be missed by his cousins Linda, Jeffrey and Joseph Polovina and his beloved nieces and nephews. We wish him fair winds and calm seas.
A celebration of his life is planned at the Harwich United Methodist Church on April 23 at 11am.
