Christopher J. Harrington

Christopher Joseph Harrington, 46, of Pittsfield, passed away on January 25, 2026. Born in Pittsfield on February 23, 1979, he was the beloved son of Colleen McMahon Chaloux and Gary Harrington. Christopher was educated in the Pittsfield Public Schools and worked for many years as a PCA, a role that reflected his caring nature and willingness to help others. He lived life in his own unique way and found joy in the simple things-four-wheeling, collecting scrap metal, and proudly growing his sneaker collection. Above all else, Christopher treasured time spent with his family. He was someone who loved deeply, laughed easily, and showed up for the people who mattered most to him. Christopher will be remembered as a devoted father, son, brother, and partner. He is survived by his children: his daughter, Lael Harrington, and her two children, Owen and Carter; and his son, Christopher Harrington Jr. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Colleen Chaloux of Pittsfield, and his father, Gary Harrington of Pittsfield, MA. He is survived by his brother, Nicholas Harrington, and his wife Jennifer of Knoxville, TN, along with their children, Christopher, Kathryn, Jacob, and Nicholas. Christopher is also survived by his fiancée, Jackie Gattuso of Pittsfield, and his step-daughters, Jozie Best and Janayah Jones, who held a special place in his heart. He leaves behind his aunt, Melissa Hawley and her partner Dee Lewis of Pittsfield, MA, as well as many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. Christopher was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the lasting impact he made simply by being himself.
