Judith Harrington, age 91 of Laurel, Nebraska died on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge, NE.

Judy’s wish was to donate her body to science for study. 

A memorial service is planned for Monday, March 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Laurel.  Please no flowers, but donations are to be made in Judith's name to your favorite charity

Judith was born on March 13, 1934 in New York City, NY to Clarence G. and Clotilde R. (Pelkus) Lowe. She lived in Athens, Greece for a while and then moved back to Lincoln, Nebraska where she graduated from High School. She attended one year at Doane University in Crete, NE and then married William P. Harrington in September of 1953. She and William continued to live in Lincoln until 1968. They then moved to Oakland until moving to Laurel in 1976. Judi worked as a cook for the nursing home in Oakland and then at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Laurel. She also worked as a secretary for AMPI in Laurel.

Judi was a member of the United Lutheran Church and its woman’s circle; she helped with the Laurel Public Library and was on its board.

Judi is survived by her two children Brian Harrington of Lincoln, Diane Wenger of Topeka, KS; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother Charles Lowe of Phoenix, AZ; a sister Priscilla Golden of Cheyenne, WY; three nephews and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William on January 15, 2015; sister-in-law Robbi Lowe; brother-in-law Joseph Golden.
