Rob Morris age 78, of Laurel, passed away Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, at his home in Laurel.

Celebration of Life is planned for a future date in Laurel. Arrangements with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Robert Virgil "Rob" Morris was born May 6, 1947, in Dodge City, Kansas to John Max and Helen Irene (Preston) Morris. After graduating from high school, Rob became a graduate of the University of Kansas. He served as a proud United States Marine during the Vietnam War, from December 1968 to June 1977, attaining the rank of Marine Corps Captain. He was a C 130 Pilot, one of the last to leave Saigon as the war came to a close. He was a dedicated owner and operator of Northland Transportation in Laurel for many years. As an avid runner/ walker, many in the Laurel community knew Rob.

Rob's family includes fiancé, Pat Christensen; daughter, Amy (Morris) Wagner; grandson, Nathan Wagner; granddaughter, Nikole Wagner; sisters, Karen (Tal) Campbell and Beth Rhoten; brothers, Tommy (Betty) Morris and Larry Morris; good friend and business partner, Todd (Shana) Erwin; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, John and Helen; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
