Rex A. Burt

Rex A. Burt, age 63, of Wayne, formerly of Lincoln, passed away Saturday February 7, 2026 at the Wisner Care Center. Private family services will be held at a later date with no visitation. Arrangements with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Rex Alan Burt was born May 17, 1962, near Bassett, Nebraska to Ronald and Sally (Buckendorf) Burt. He was a graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School. Rex married Mary Luschen June 21, 1985, in Lincoln. Over the years, the couple lived in Arizona and Lincoln for several years before moving to Wayne in 2021. Rex worked as a meat cutter for various grocery stores in the communities where they called home. He loved to spend his time hunting and fishing, enjoying the great outdoors.

Rex is survived by his wife, Mary (Luschen) Burt of Wayne; their children, Angel Burt and Rachael Burt of Wayne and Dustin Burt of Lincoln; siblings, Stephanie (Roger) Kessler of Lincoln, Chari Burt of Utah, Mandi (Brandon) Wilson of Lincoln and Matthew (Jackie) Burt of Lincoln; nieces and nephews.
