Christopher Scott Harris, a devoted husband, father, and friend, left this world on May 19, 2025, in Waco, Texas, at the age of 51. Born on September 8, 1973, Chris's vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.
After attending Copperas Cove High School, Chris began his journey on Fort Hood, where he discovered his true calling. Chris dedicated over 30 years to the plumbing industry, earning his Master Plumbing License and traveling extensively to hone his craft. However, it was his love for mentoring and training the next generation of tradesmen that defined his career. He took immense pride in sharing his knowledge and shaping the futures of many young individuals, embodying the role of a teacher as much as that of a skilled plumber.
More than a tradesman, Chris was known for his kindness, warmth, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. His personality won him friends everywhere he went; always ready with a contagious laugh and the generosity to give the shirt off his back to someone in need.
Outside of work, Chris cherished his time as a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears. He was also an avid golfer and an enthusiastic collector of sports cards, hobbies that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with those who shared similar interests.
Chris is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patricia Harris, and his children: Kelsey Scofield, Dylan Scofield, Tanner Scofield, and Christopher Harris Jr. He leaves behind the love of seven grandchildren, carrying forward their grandfather’s kindness and laughter. Christopher's loving family also includes his mother, Susan Wolf; his father, Richard Harris; and his brother, Richard John Harris Jr. Together, they mourn the loss of a remarkable man whose love knew no bounds.
As we honor the memory of Christopher Scott Harris, let’s cherish a life rich with love, joy, and treasured moments. His spirit will keep shining brightly in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to have known him.
