Christopher Michael Herrick, age 50, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge, Nebraska. He was born on April 2, 1974, in Kirkland, Washington to Deena Joy Herrick.
He graduated from high school in Seltan, Washington and attended Everett Community College. He worked with auto body shops and welding shops during his life. In 1990 he got his first car and in 2001 bought his first house. He was a welding supervisor at Superior Industries Inc. in Columbus, Nebraska. He was also self-employed as a drywaller. He has been working for Kaufman Trailers of Beaver City, Nebraska and helping Hawk Ellis at his autobody shop in Edison, Nebraska.
He enjoyed cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Seattle Seahawks football teams, and enjoyed demolition derbies, riding 4-wheelers, and playing golf.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Joyce & Chester Herrick, daughter Lily Isabel.
He is survived by his mother Joy Chaffin (Richard) of Oxford, Nebraska, girlfriend Autumn Isabel of Arapahoe, Nebraska, sons Gage Thulin, Bladyn & Peyton Herrick. Sister Cassidy Moen-Weaver, Uncle David Herrick (Kris) of Oxford, Nebraska, cousins Crystal Basnett of Oxford, Nebraska, Russell Herrick & MicLee Oxford, Nebraska,
Viewing and visitation will be Monday, January 27, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Garey Funeral Chapel, 652 Main St., Arapahoe, Nebraska. Memorial services at a later date. Garey Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences and personal reflections may be left at gareyfuneralhome.com
