Christopher Neal Holbrook age 47 of Jonesboro, Arkansas and originally from Magoffin County, Kentucky passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Saint Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on October 22, 1977 in Fayette County, Kentucky. Chris was the son of Linda Hammond and Wilbur Holbrook. He is survived by his father, Wilbur (Teresa) Holbrook, his mother, Linda (Roger) Hammond, as well as his children: Ethan Holbrook, Alyssa McCarty and Abby Holbrook all of Salyersville, Kentucky and Hudson Cooper Holbrook of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Chris was also a proud grandfather to Gatlin Blake McCarty, Benjamin Case McCarty and Alexander Neil Williams all of whom reside in Salyersville. He leaves behind his siblings, Melinda (Kevin) Owens from Salyersville, Kentucky, Anthony (Lyda) Holbrook from Dry Ridge, Kentucky, Jody Minix from Shelbyville, Kentucky, Curtis (Lauren) Marshall from Mount Sterling, Kentucky, Michelle Minix from Flynt, Michigan, Zachary Rowe from Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Andrew Rowe and Henry Holbrook from Salyersville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by one sister; Jennifer Dingess. As a young man, Chris enjoyed anything involving cars, especially fast ones. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He would enjoy fishing throughout his life. He held a special spot for Vicky Cooper, whom he shared a child. Chris also had numerous lifelong friends who remained dear throughout the years. Chris worked as a property manager but had a diverse career that included roles as a mechanic, towing specialist, auto parts manager, and logistics manager. An avid animal lover, he had a special affinity for his beloved boxer, Hank, whom he often referred to as his best friend. Funeral services for Christopher Neal Holbrook will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Haney officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2025 and anytime prior to funeral services Monday. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions please made to the Christopher Neal Holbrook Memorial Fund.
