Christopher Matthew Jolliffe departed this world on January 24, 2025, and set sail into the infinite cosmic of the universe at age 49.
Chris was known for his kind heart, generous spirit and rapid-fire sense of humor. He showered his friends and family with overwhelming love, support and the best hugs. A native of Lewisburg, West Virginia, Chris called several cities and states home. He accumulated many friends along his journey. He had an impeccable way of making every single one of them feel like they were the most important person in the room. Chris found a way to bond with people over music, pop culture, theatre, a ride at Universal or even IT questions. His laugh was infectious.
He fiercely advocated for the LGBTQIA community and was always willing to fight for equality. He was actively involved in local Pride organizations no matter where his home was.
Chris's endless love of music filtered into his daily life. There was a song for every occasion. It was his wish for his loved ones to find comfort in "When the River Meets the Sea" from Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.
"When the mountain touches the valley, all the clouds are taught to fly as our souls will leave this land most peacefully. Though our minds be filled with questions, in our hearts we'll understand, when the river meets the sea."
He and his husband Justin Wigglesworth shared many adventures together. They were the pet parents to four dogs, Pippa, Phoebe, Porter and Prudence, one tortoise Tortellini and several unnamed fish. Their home was always filled with love, support, laughter and happiness.
Chris is survived by husband Justin Wigglesworth, Parents JoAnne Jolliffe, Frank (Marlene) Jolliffe, sister Amy (Jeff) Gray, sister Annie (Jen) Harvey, sister Danielle (Chase) Thayer, and brother Jacob (Lei Lani) Jolliffe, nephews and nieces Ross Gray; Livy, Rae, and Jordan Harvey-Slusher; Ben Thayer and Nicole Thayer.
Family meant a lot to Christopher. There is the family you were born into and the family you make. There are countless family members that were not mentioned above, but in your heart you know who you are. You know you were truly loved, treated, and respected like the family you were.
Chris leaves many who loved him behind, but he is now a bright star who guides us all forward.
A visitation will be held at Wallace & Wallace in Lewisburg, WV on February 8, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the Greenbrier Humane Society be made in his memory.

I was saddened to,learn of,Chris´s passing. He was one of a number of wonderful young folks from Lewisburg who spent summers working as a dishwasher for me at Julian´s restaurant. It was refreshing to have smart people doing hard work and not complaining. I loved the red hair. My sincerest condolences

In the obituary- it mentions that Chris gave the best hugs. BOY DID HE EVER! Even if he was talking to someone and walked by, he always stopped to give me this huge hug. I served on the IT Fun Committee with Chris, and I will forever remember his shenanigans and laughter no matter what we were doing. That quick wit of his, always made me smile. During our last text conversation- he said I'd always be his go to (for IT hardware) and I said, "Ditto, Dude.." and I hope he knows I meant it- he was always a go to. For laughter, adventures, hugs, questions- I say he's a tremendous star in the sky above for any of us to go to when we need his spirit the most! Chris you will be missed!! Justin, you are in our hearts and on our minds!
