Barry Jolliffe Obituary

Barry Stewart Jolliffe, 77, passed away on December 24, 2025. He resided in Amissville, Virginia and had attended Rappahannock County High School. Barry was the son of the late Silas Jolliffe and Hilda Gibson. Known to many as a musician with bands J.J. and Company and Nightfall. They performed throughout the area and beyond.

Barry's passions were family, song writing, animals, outdoors, and playing his Fender Guitar. His most notable passion of music started at age 11 and landed him and his brother on the Don Reno and Red Smiley Television show at age 14. He went on forming bands, teaching guitar and eventually wrote and recorded a song out of Nashville called "New Life".

Early in life he worked at Keith Fletcher Motors and Virginia Power. Barry later opened Dominion Driving School with his twin brother, Larry. They taught traffic safety courses And basic driver's education throughout Central Virginia including George Mason University. After retiring from the driving school, Barry got his Real Estate License and worked with "Tammy" Billings and associates of Remax Regency in Warrenton, Virginia.

Barry is survived by his twin brother, Larry Jolliffe, daughter, Tamra Billings and her husband Jeff Billings, two grandchildren, Adam Caporuscio and Haley Billings, a niece and nephew April Locklear and Kevin Jolliffe.

Always a song in his heart and guitar in hand, Barry will be greatly missed by family and Friends.

A private funeral will take place with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
