Obituary published on Legacy.com by Winterville Cremation & Funeral Services - Winterville on Feb. 12, 2026.
Robert Linwood Snow, 69, of Winterville, N.C. passed away ever so peacefully in his sleep on January 28, 2026 after battling multiple illnesses for the last two decades. He was born in 1956 to Wallace Reed Snow and Young Ja Yoon Snow in Washington, D.C. Robert was a dearly loved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Pamela Tollberg Snow. They shared 55 amazing years together. Robert is also survived by their children; Adrienne (Thomas) of Prague, Czech Republic, Erin, of Culpeper, Virginia, Devon (fiancé Kayla) of Bridgewater, Virginia and Sharidyn (Kayla) of Greenville, N.C. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Mila Lin, Kymani, Easton and Brianna.
Robert is also survived by his Stepmother, Dorothy Snow of Catlett, Virginia. His brothers Scott ( Mae) of Nokesville, Virginia and William (Tracy) of Amissville, Virginia, as well as many other close family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and days prior to his death the passing of his beloved Aunt Nancy Porter Snow.
Robert and his wife, Pam, began their journey together in 1971 and were inseparable. He referred to Pam as his "Puzzle Piece". Together they raised their family in a closely knit community filled with children, schools, and activities that would provide many lasting bonds and wonderful memories much like they viewed their childhoods. They remained in their Manassas home for the next 28 years until they both retired from the same school system they had attended, Prince William County Schools.
Robert was fondly known as Dad, Pop, Papa Snow, Bobby and Coach. He willingly and happily was The Field Trip Dad that also served on PTA Executive Boards, Coached Little League Baseball with Greater Manassas Baseball League for 10 years and was active in Virginia Special Olympics. Baseball with Devon and Volleyball with Sharidyn was a definite joy for him. Following his transplant, he was adamant to doctors that the first place he wanted to go was a baseball game to watch Devon catch behind the plate. He loved his children and believed in supporting them. He was the dad that was ever present at his children's activities. Tae Kwon Do, Scouts, Football, Basketball, Majorettes, Dance, Cheerleading, Baton, Travel Baseball and Travel Volleyball meant never a dull moment. He was the children's favorite Carpool Dad and the only Dad in the ladies neighborhood carpool group.
Pam often referred to Robert as her 5th child. Robert happily embraced that role. It was not uncommon for him to wear his daughter's Tutu on his head following a dance recital, entertain the neighborhood children with the Potato Cannon he made, or show up at a Halloween party dressed as a Hula dancer. He fearlessly entered Dance Contests knowing he could not dance. His antics will leave many irreplaceable memories.
Robert's grandchildren were his sunshine. They were stronger than any medication a doctor could have possibly prescribed for him. He was loved immensely by his family. Early on in his illness The Snow Family adopted the phrase "No One Fight Alone" and began referring to themselves as "Team Snow". Team Snow through the years was joined by countless friends and family members. Robert valued the support, love and countless ways everyone impacted his life and Team Snow.
Robert's health was a difficult journey, yet he always found a way to stay positive and fight through the toughest of battles with Team Snow by his side. He passed on his strength, calm nature, kindness and resilience to his children. Whenever they needed guidance, advice, support, or help of any kind Dad was their Go To.
Robert's family moved to Manassas, Virginia in 1957, shortly after his father retired from the Marine Corp. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas in 1975. Following graduation Robert continued his education and became a Master Electrician. He later opened his own Electrical Contracting Firm, Sharidyn Electric.
Like many, as a child, Robert wanted to be a Fire Fighter. He proudly achieved that goal a bit later in life than some but was ever so proud of his accomplishment. He then served as a Prince William County Fire Fighter with Nokesville/ Company 5 until his retirement from the department.
Robert was aware he would eventually lose his fight. He did not want his family to hold a funeral on his behalf. He wanted his life honored in ways that would impact others. If you wish, please become a registered Organ Donor and/or donate blood to your local Blood Bank/Hospital. Robert benefitted from numerous transfusions through the years and an organ transplant from an unknown donor. Lastly, please consider supporting local youth sports by contributing or donating in your area.
You were loved more than words can ever begin to express Pop.
