I knew Chris in high school, & have thought about him often in all the years since. He was a talented athlete, a really good guy, humble and kind despite excelling in so many ways. My deepest condolences to his friends and family. May he rest in peace, and may wonderful memories always bring comfort.

I first met Chris in junior high. He was in some of my 8th and 9th grade math and science classes. We played on the basketball team together. He was a good student and an even better athlete. In high school he starred in football, basketball and baseball. He was voted `Most Athletic´ in the Syosset High School Class of 1971. Despite his accomplishments Chris remained humble and low key. He was quick to smile and had a good sense of humor. Knowing Chris in my formative years made my life richer. He made the world a better place. Mark Piccione

I never met Chris in person, but feel as if I had known him for a long time. Traveling with his brother Matt on work trips, I always looked forward to a call to Chris. I admired the relationship between the two and enjoyed sharing that time together. I easily saw and felt the goodness in Chris´ heart.

I was attending UNC when Chris had that memorable senior season at quarterback. I distinctly remember him throwing 2 50+ yard touchdown passes back to back just prior to halftime against Army. I also had the privilege of working with Chris later in my career as an asset based lender. He was a brilliant attorney but humble, kind and always approachable. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
