Christopher Albert Leach, 54, of Statesville, NC passed away on January 16, 2025.

He was born on April 9, 1970 in Statesville, NC to Lamon Albert Leach, Jr. and Callie Faye Fisher Leach.

He graduated from Statesville High School where he was on the wrestling team. After high school, he attended Job Corp.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lamon J. Leach and Daisy Smyre Leach; and his maternal grandparents William Fisher and Bessie Lee Fisher.

Along with his parent, Chris is survived by his brother, Michael (Amy) Fisher; brother, Eddie (Melissa) Leach; sister, Candi Thigpen; sister, Tish Leach; sister, Keshia (Ryan) Lancaster; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In his younger years, you could find Chris with friends at the skating rink where he became a very impressive skater. Some of his skating skills were unmatched by those in attendance.

Chris enjoyed music and movies, but his passion was for fishing. He would often retreat to the solitude of the lake or a pond to enjoy a day of fishing. He was generous sharing his hauls with family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at Iredell Memorial Hospital who took care of Chris over the years of illness. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Gordon Hospice House for walking us through such a difficult time. Your encouraging words, hugs and support will never be forgotten. Please consider making memorial donation to Gordon Hospice House in Chris's honor.
