Christopher George Mangusing, age 66, born to George and Joann Mangusing on July 16, 1958 in San Diego, California has been embraced by our Lord Jesus Christ on May 8, 2025.
Chris Mangusing enlisted in the United States Air Force at age 22 as a 46150 - Ammunition Systems Specialist. Following the United States Air Force, he pursued his career with the United States Border Patrol in Class 176 (March 25, 1985 - November 1, 2014). He retired as PAIC Lordsburg Station. Chris then served as the Mesilla Marshall from 2014-2016.
After all these accomplishments, Chris continued to follow his passion for golfing, gardening, yard work, cooking, barbecuing, and customizing his 2023 Subaru WRX. He enjoyed watching sports & spending quality time in his "man cave."
Chris was well known for decorating the house according to the holiday season and having neighborhood firework battles on the 4th of July. He also enjoyed spending time with loved ones and friends, Chris never met a stranger. He guided those who sought his assistance and advice. Chris encouraged and supported those in need. He welcomed all with open arms, but most of all, he truly served the Lord with all his heart and soul. Chris volunteered at Heart of the World Church, Soup Kitchen and Red Hawk Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Rel-Mangusing, sons: Nicholas (Michelle) Mangusing and Brian Mangusing, Erik (Shineeka) Granado, Melanie (Nicholas) Scott. Chris is also survived by his brothers, Kent (Dianna) Mangusing and Stuart Mangusing. Grandchildren: Koda Mangusing, Isaiah and Aaralynn Granado, Charles and William Scott, And his loyal companions: Zoe & Archie.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents George and Joann Mangusing his son Mitchell Christopher Mangusing.
Christopher Mangusing left this world doing what he loved to do, golfing. "Husband, father, brother, grandpa, friend, neighbor, you will be missed." As God called him home he said "Son, job well done"
Viewing to be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at Getz Funeral Home, Funeral service will be held at Heart of the World Church on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 beginning 11:00 am.
