Christopher Douglas Medenwald, 51, of Rockville, passed away June 16, 2023. Born July 28, 1971, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Ronald William Medenwald and Wilma Jane Newkirk.
Chris graduated from Rockville High School and worked for American Electric for 26 years. He was a very good electrician and was well liked by customers and fellow employees. He was always willing to help someone else and teach them. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two daughters, Taylor Medenwald (Harley Fox), and Julia Medenwald; his parents, Ronnie, and Gale Medenwald, and Jane Hadley; brother, Jason Medenwald; stepsiblings, Brian Albrecht (Allison) and Kasey Connors; and 4 grandchildren, Brantley Medenwald, Hunter, Dallas, and Savannah Fox. Also surviving are his aunts, Sue Moreland, and Nancy Crabtree (Jim); uncles, Cliff Medenwald and Dallas Medenwald (Denise); and several cousins.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents and brother, Tony Medenwald.
Chris was a loving father to his two beautiful daughters and was always able to make them laugh no matter the occasion. He was always on their side no matter what. He loved his grandchildren very much and always showed them how much he cared for them.
Funeral services will be held at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 East High Street, Rockville on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Marilyn Culler officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m.
