2025. He grew up in Baldwin, NY–the middle of five children to his late parents, Dina and
Dennis Meekins.
Chris attended Maria Regina, where he played high school basketball. He was an avid
sportsman, whether participating, spectating, or coaching. If you were part of Chris's life, you
had to like sports because he was bringing you along for the ride.
Chris had a 30-year career as a government bond broker. He worked at several brokerage
houses, starting with Fundamental Brokers. Chris also was a life-long horse racing enthusiast,
and - whether at Belmont or Saratoga - he always enjoyed the time spent with some of his
closest friends at the track.
Chris and his wife Stacy were the loving parents of Sean, Mackenzie, and Casey. As anyone
could tell you, his children were his world. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and
loved him.
Chris is survived by his children, Sean Meekins (Natalie), Mackenzie Meekins, and Casey
Meekins, and the mother of his children, Stacy Meekins. He was the beloved brother of DJ
Meekins (Patty), Donna Reese (Dave), Dina Carr (Dennis), Teresa Meekins (Chris Howes), and Patricia Moltisanti.
The family will receive friends Wednesday May 14, 2025 at Thomas A. Glynn and Son FH 20 Licoln Ave. Rockville Centre, NY 11570. Funeral Mass Thursday May 15, 2025 at 9:45 AM at St. Christopher RC Church, Baldwin. Cremation private. Please visit CecereFamilyFunerals.com
