Chris was a 1981 graduate of Danbury Local Schools; he received an Associates Degree in Accounting from Ohio Business College and his Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Southern New Hampshire University. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead where he served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of St. Joseph Council Knights of Columbus, DeSoto Assembly 4th Knights of Columbus, Past Grand Knight Port Clinton Knights of Columbus Council #1750, Past Faithful Navigator DeSoto Assembly #805, Former District Deputy Ohio State Council Knights of Columbus, Former President and Member of Selective Service System Board #95, Former Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Marblehead, Former member of Village of Marblehead Board of Public Affairs, Former member of Lakeside Vol. Fire Dept and Marblehead Vol. Fire Dept, former member of Northwestern Ohio Education Association Board of Directors, former member of Ohio Education Association Board of Directors and served several years as President of Danbury Association of Non-Teaching Employees. He retired from Danbury Local Schools where he was a bus driver.
Surviving are his wife: Wendy; siblings: Jim (Cari) Menier of Sandusky, Lisa (Joe) Kopp of Marblehead and their kids: Dylan Menier, Haley Menier and Sarah Kopp; step-children: Shelby Edwards, Ashley Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Jr. all of Port Clinton; step-grandchildren: Aubree Cook, Hazel Edwards, Honey Edwards and Dean Berry. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 10:00 am 12:00 pm and 4:00 6:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Joe Szybka at 10:30 am Friday, June 27, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the donors choice. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.neideckercrossedrpriesman.com.
