Christopher Paul Norviel, affectionately known as Chris, was born on April 20, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio. He passed away on November 9, 2025, in Grove City, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Chris was a dedicated worker, contributing to Eastern Truck and Trailer and Transport Services in various roles throughout his career. With 25 years as a mechanic with ELW, he not only honed his skills but also demonstrated his unwavering commitment to his craft. His education included graduating from Westland High School in 1992 and earning an Auto Mechanic Certification from Hayes Tech, both of which laid the foundation for his successful career.

Chris's personality was a bright light in the lives of many. Known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, he had a unique ability to make everyone around him laugh. Friends and family often remarked on his generous spirit and huge heart; he was always willing to lend a hand, always busy working on something new, whether it was in the garage – his happy place – or helping friends in need.

His hobbies reflected his zest for life and adventure. Chris found joy in hunting and fishing, often spending quality time outdoors with his daughter, Kadee. The two shared many precious memories in Jackson County and on the water, deepening their bond. Chris also enjoyed drag racing and woodworking, delighting in building things in his garage, including intricate wood carvings and custom firearms.

Chris's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family, especially his beloved daughter, Kadee. His love for her was evident to all, and he cherished every moment spent together. His mother, Phyllis Norviel, Aunt Linda Lanich, Uncle Russell (Suzy) Peterson, cousins Jennifer (Joe) Nelson and Joe (Kelly) Carter, and an extended circle of family and friends, held a special place in his heart.

He is remembered fondly by all who knew him, particularly for the laughter he brought into the world and the love he shared. Chris is preceded in death by his father, Donald Norviel, fiancée Laura Stein, and his grandparents, Lawrence and Astrid Peterson and Ernest and Alma Norviel. Their spirits will undoubtedly welcome him with open arms.

A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123, on November 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
