Chris was born on October 5, 1990, to Michelle (Levasseur) O'Brien. He graduated from Marshfield High School in Marshfield, Massachusetts, and went on to attend culinary school. After returning to Maine, he began a career in carpentry with his Uncle Mike. Known for his hard work, quick learning, and ruggedness on the job site, Chris earned the nickname "Brute." He made friends easily and was well-liked by everyone he met. Chris also had a deep love for animals.
Chris was an avid outdoor enthusiast with a passion for fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He cherished trips back to Massachusetts to fish with his friends, the Mikes, and enjoyed regular gatherings with friends Jess and Scott in Maine. Chris took great pride in caring for others, particularly his Mémère, Lorraine Levasseur.
Chris was predeceased by his mother, Michelle (Levasseur) O'Brien; his Pépère, Mike Levasseur; and his uncle, Willy Fortin.
He is survived by his Mémère, Lorraine Levasseur of Sidney; his brother, Cameron O'Brien of Marshfield, MA; his uncle, Mike Levasseur and his wife, Amy Levasseur of Sidney; cousins, Hunter and Michaela Levasseur of Sidney; and his godmother, Diane Bragg of Waterville.
A celebration of life and service will be held on Saturday, July 13th at 1:00pm at 44 Pond Road in Sidney.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Fire Chief Richard Jandreau and all the first responders who attended to Chris.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Humane Society Waterville Area, 100 Webb Road, Waterville, 04901.

Ryan- i met chris when he still lived in Berkeley heights NJ he was having a going away party because he moving too maine. Even though i didnt know chris as good as well as his other good friends he was still an amazing friend very kind hearted huge heart extremely funny always knew how to have a good time and bring joy to others, me and him would always have a blast playing several games on xbox non stop laughter. I will definitely always remember you chris you were definitely one of the bros. Rest In Paradise My Brother. To chris´s family you have my condolences stay strong for chris while he is smiling down upon us

Kareem- I met this young man in 2012 while working. During a super storm he opened his home to me and a few other coworkers so we could have income for family´s and warmth untill the power came on in our towns. He even lent me an Xbox when my died untill I could get my repaired. I will always remember you brother rest in paradise. To Chris´s family loss is never easy fellowship with each other relive the good times with Chris with each other, my condolences.
