Christopher Ohnimus Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cypress Pointe Cremation - St. Louis on Feb. 2, 2026.
Christopher Ohnimus born on September 17, 1961, died on January 25, 2026, was the son of Jeanne Ohnimus († December 18, 2004) and Kenneth Ohnimus († January 10, 1990).

Christopher is survived by his son, Christian, and his wife Katie; daughter, Mary, and her husband Richard; and his nine grandchildren: Richard, Paul, Alexandria, Bernadette, Lucia, Angela, Regina, Edmund, and Anthony.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Ohnimus († November 24, 2022). He is survived by his sisters, Suzanne Sloan and Linda Ohnimus. He was uncle to Kevin, Lizzie, Sarah, and Andrew Sloan († February 22, 2022).

Christopher was known for his love of the Beatles and was a devoted history buff who also enjoyed keeping up with current events.

For the last 15 years of his life, Chris worked with the New Life Evangelistic Center. This even brought him into the public eye-and to court-for giving out sandwiches to those in need.

God rest his soul.

Chris was a good man, sincere Christian, and had a funny sense of humor. I was glad to know him. As a volunteer at New Life, Chris made me feel welcome, and I enjoyed talking with him. Chris will be missed.
