Christopher J. Palumbo, a devoted father, beloved family member, and passionate Buffalo Bills fan, passed away on Sunday, October 26th, 2025 at home surrounded by his family after a long courageous two-year battle with kidney cancer. Christopher's life was filled with love, joy, and a deep connection to family and friends.
Christopher was born on December, 23rd, 1969 in Sayre, PA. The son of John M. Palumbo and the late Abbie K. Palumbo.
He was a 1988 graduate of Sayre Area High School. An avid supporter of the Buffalo Bills, he was known for his enthusiastic presence at countless games and his unwavering loyalty to the Bills Mafia. He cherished the excitement and camaraderie of game days, creating lasting memories with loved ones.
Beyond football, he enjoyed many vacations with his family, relishing the peaceful beaches and quality time together. He also found joy in riding motorcycles, exploring the open road with the same passion he brought to everything he did.
Christopher is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Theresa J. Palumbo, sons, Jonathan R. Palumbo (Destiny Breon), Tyler J. Palumbo (Jessika Brantner), grandchildren, Lovelyn L. Schwenk, Hartley L. Schwenk, and Jack D. Palumbo. He is also survived by his father, John M. Palumbo, brother, Les M. Palumbo (Julie Kowalewicz), niece, Linsey R. Palumbo,,sisters-in-laws, Carmel (Dan) Card, Tammie Vanderpool, Joanna Loveland, and Shannon Rose, aunt, Linda S. Sloat, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and family members, John (Natalie) Law, Wade Law, Paul (Kathy) Johnson, and his cat Rosie.
He was predeceased by his mother, Abbie K. Palumbo, grandmother, Harriet (Effie)Palumbo, aunts, Connie Selman, Dixie Coolbaugh, and Barbara Denlinger, uncle, Daniel H. Sloat, and brother-in-law, Channon Rose.
The family sends a special thank you to RPH 5th Main Floor Cancer Unit, Guthrie Hospice, and Dr. Joseph Kuruvilla, his Oncologist.

Family and friends may call on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 11am to 1pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home, 225 S. Main St.,
Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home.
