Christopher Rogalin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Abbey Cremation Service - Rocky Hill on Mar. 12, 2026.
Christopher Halsey Rogalin, born on the 1st of January, 1947, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Weston, Connecticut. With his big heart, deep faith, and ready smile, Christopher was very dear to his friends and extended family. He loved nature, and especially the sea, whether for long walks on the beach, a sail on the Sound, or grilling fish at the beach with family and friends. He was never without the tide chart for Compo Beach.

Introduced by dear friends, he married his beloved Pamela in 1980, convincing his midwestern bride to join him in Weston, where they lived happily in a storybook stone cottage in the woods. They were long-time members of the Grange community and volunteered for many years at the Norwalk Soup Kitchen. In recent years he volunteered with Person to Person in Darien and passionately devoted his time to social justice initiatives. His most cherished role was as the father to his three daughters.

Christopher was a graduate of Staples High School in Westport and served in the Navy in Vietnam. He later obtained degrees in electrical engineering and computer science and was the owner and principal consultant of Frogs5 Integrated Solutions, LLC, after a lengthy career with Pitney Bowes.

Predeceased by Pamela, his loving wife of 38 years, and his brothers Richard and John, he leaves behind his daughters and their families: Cheryl Gombas (Matt), Michele Rogalin Henderson (Jon), and Jennifer Stevenson (Jeff); grandchildren (Kimberly, Angela, Zoltan, Michelle, Denali, Isabel, Michael, Matthew, and Andrew) and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by the bonus sister of his heart, Kerrigan, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend Christopher's funeral mass on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at 12 noon, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 35 Norfield Road, Weston CT 06883, to be followed by coffee and tea in the parish center to celebrate Christopher's life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Person to Person (https://p2phelps.org/).

God bless and thank you for your warm friendship over so many years. The Grange Community misses you so much already. My deepest condolences to all who loved Christopher. We were new friends, having met protesting in Westport last April. It was a heart connection from the first and then we discovered that we had the Benedictine Grange in common, though not overlapping in time. My heart goes out to his family. He is so missed. I'm attaching the last photos I took of him on 2/14/26.

I am a recent friend of Christopher's: we gathered at our weekly protest on the bridge in Westport. What a wonderful, funny, kind, articulate, amazing man he was! I am deeply saddened by his sudden departure from this world. I pray that it was quick and light-hearted for his sake . . . while I grieve the loss for his family and all of his friends.

O Dear Family of this Precious Man, Christopher...my heart weeps with yours. What a treasure of a man, so kind, and gentle, and thoughtful. Whenever I made any offering to the Benedictine Grange where we worshiped I could count on a sweet note from Christopher, encouraging and thanking. His love for Pamela was ever luminous as they joined us each Sunday - and he kept her radiant within him ever after her. What a blessing to have been blessed by him. Carry on his light. I am so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of Chris. I volunteered with him at P2P (sharing these photos of our Wednesday tent crew), and he was just such a helpful, funny, warm and friendly guy. We were just laughing and joking a few weeks ago, and having a great time as always, so that is how I will remember him. So hard to believe he is gone.
