Christopher Ruby, age 36, passed away on November 1, 2024. Born on November 13, 1987, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Juanita Beatty but was lovingly raised by his late great-aunt and uncle, Rose and Chuck Koballa. Christopher was the beloved husband of Shawna Anderson and a loving father to his daughter by choice, Rylee. He was a treasured uncle to Caroline and D.J., and a dear cousin to many, including the late Beth. He leaves behind extended family and friends, including close friends Nick Blankenship and Tim Freeman.
Christopher was a creative soul who loved music, attending festivals, skateboarding, and expressing himself through art. He was known for his selfless nature and a heart for helping others. A true animal lover, he shared a special bond with his bird, Quija. As a dedicated Juggalo, he embraced an inclusive lifestyle where everyone was welcome. He enjoyed documentaries, tattoos, working on cars, the outdoors, and spreading love to all. His memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
