Christopher "Chris" Keith Skaggs, 65, of New Albany, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. He was born on February 11, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, to Carl and Ruby (Castle) Skaggs. Chris grew up with a strong work ethic, a love for family, and a heart for the simple joys of life.

Chris married Rhonda (Beebe), on December 1, 1984. Together they built their life, sharing 35 years of marriage and raising two sons, Adam and Alex. Chris was deeply proud to watch his sons grow into men.

In 1976, Chris began working in HVAC, and by 1986, he founded Wise Heating and Cooling, in Galena, OH. He built a legacy that continues today through his sons. In 1987, Chris built a home for his family in New Albany, Ohio.

Outside of work, Chris lived life with a quiet joy. He loved fishing, hunting, and cheering on his teams - the Cincinnati Reds, the Bengals, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Those who knew Chris will remember his easy going nature, his patience, and above all, his generosity. He gave freely of his time to family, friends, and neighbors, never expecting anything in return. He was known for his catchphrases, "Well, hey" or "Like I say", that will forever echo in our hearts.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruby Skaggs. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Skaggs; sons, Adam Skaggs and Alex (Noel) Skaggs; granddaughter, Charlotte Skaggs; sister, Debbie Starner, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who became family.

While his absence is deeply felt, his family takes comfort in knowing that Chris is now at peace in the presence of Jesus, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. His life was a story of love and hard work, one that continues through the family and legacy he leaves behind.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 10250 Appleton Road, Johnstown, Ohio 43031, where close friends, colleagues, and loved ones are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the remarkable man Chris was.
