Christopher Tasca Obituary

Published by Woodlawn Funeral Home - Cranston on Mar. 16, 2014.
Christopher Paul Tasca of Cranston, RI was born on June 13th 1954 to Robert and Lena Tasca (deceased). He faithfully placed his life in the hands of the Lord, Jesus Christ. On March 16th 2014, Christopher peacefully passed from this life to begin life anew in eternity. Christopher is survived by the love of his life, Pilar Tasca, and their four children, Eliana Tasca, Jacklyne Tasca Bulman and her husband Michael Bulman, Christopher Tasca, and Nicholas Tasca. In addition to immediate family, Christopher is survived by his older brother, Richard Tasca, and his wife Beth, his mother in law, Martha Torrado, his surviving aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters in law, cousins, nieces and nephews all of whom he held tremendous affection. Known to most as CT, family was the center of his life. Pilar was his loving wife and his best friend. He held a uniquely special relationship with each of his four children which was built on his dedication to fatherhood. Friendship was another central theme in Christopher's life. He was a loyal and true friend to many. All his buddies would tell you he was the best guy you could ever know. Chris was President and co-founder of Wholesale Jewelry Supply for the past 30 years and shared partnership with his lifelong best friend, Joseph Montaquila. Above all else, Chris had unwaivering faith In Jesus Christ and strong devotion to the Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of Holy Apostles Parish in Cranston, RI and the RI chapter of Legatus. He lived his life deeply rooted in the core teachings of his faith which carried him through his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. CT's second love after his family was the Alpine Country Club. A member since childhood; he sat on the Board of Directors, served as tournament chairman for several years and co-chaired the Alpine's 50th anniversary celebration. Many of his fondest memories were at the club golfing with his buddies, enjoying Sunday dinners with his family, or a Friday evening at the Men's Grille. CT was a sports enthusiast. He loved baseball (Go Yankees) and was involved with Cranston Western Little League for over 15 years as a coach, on the Board of Directors, and later serving as Vice President of C.W.L.L. Chris enjoyed rooting on the Rhody Rams (his alma mater) for basketball games at the Ryan Center. Every man's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another." Ernest Hemingway Christopher Tasca, in life and death, embodied strength, grace, and integrity.
