Christopher Underwood Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc. on Oct. 31, 2024.
Michael Underwood was born on January 13, 2004, to Vance C. Underwood and Phoenix Fort Moore in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He departed this life tragically following a car accident in the early morning hours of October 21, 2024.
To some of his family and friends, Christopher, known as Chis, loved making his parents and siblings smile and often did silly and goofy things to keep them smiling. Educated in the Pittsburgh Public School System, he was an outgoing kid who loved attending school because he loved interacting with fellow students, teachers, and coaches. He was a good student who made friends easily. As a child, he attended every Clairton Bears Football game with his grandfather, David Spence. When he entered Clairton High School, for his senior year, he knew he wanted to play football for the Bears, and it was a proud day for him when he joined the team. After graduating in 2022, he had several employment experiences, and when he started earning his own money, he always purchased his favorite – Little Debbie Snack Cakes. He may have singlehandedly kept them in business. He finally landed a job with the Honda Engine Plant in Anna, Ohio.
Christopher was a member of the Mt. Olive First Baptist Church family. Growing up in the church, he was a member of the Junior Deacon Ministry, Youth and Young Adult Ministry, Youth Choir Ministry, and Young People Usher Ministry. He spent a lot of time with his siblings, and like other kids of his generation, his favorite pastime was playing X-Box games with his dad or brothers, and they would spend hours lost in the game.
One of his greatest joys was spending time with family and friends and keeping them entertained. Christopher, a people person, always loved to make people smile, and when he greeted people, he did it with a huge smile. He was an avid sports fan and was hometown all the way. He loved watching the Pennsylvania professional sports teams and was a proud member of Steeler Nation.
Christopher had so much joy in life, unwavering devotion, and love for his family. He was always the first to arrive at family gatherings. Another thing that brought him joy was listening to his younger brother, Antonio, rap. He listened to all of his music and was his number-one fan. Christopher was a bright star whose light dimmed too soon. He is missed, but his life will be forever remembered by his parents, Vance Underwood and Phoenix Fort Moore; brothers, Maurice Oliver, Shawn Karioki, Antonio Moore, Cairo Karioki, Kendrick Williams, Kaleb Kyles, Nasir Underwood; sister, Jasmirra Howard; grandparents, Stephanie and David Spence; god-sister, Ceniya Wade; cousin and best friend, Keith "KJ" Meade, Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
