Karen Nance

Karen G. Nance, 72 of Wilkinsburg Pa. passed away on December 13, 2025, at Riverside Health and Rehab Center in McKeesport Pa. Born on March 2, 1953, to Penelope and Omar Salih.

Preceded in death by Mother Penelope Salih and brother Joel Salih.

Survived by husband Walter Nance, daughter Wanicka Nance, son Walter Nance II, all of Pittsburgh Pa, Father Omar Salih of Duquesne Pa, siblings Sharon Renee (Mark) Shaw of McKeesport Pa, Aaron (Darlene) Salih of Clairton Pa, Anna Tobe of Duquesne Pa and Lois (Anthony) Lucas of Charlotte NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Karen was a 1971 graduate of West Mifflin High School. She also attended and graduated from Hardy Bible College. Karen was employed at the old Gimbels Department Store where she worked as a salesclerk and met her husband, Walter. She also worked for the University of Pittsburgh as a night security guard. Karen was the oldest of 6 siblings. She enjoyed reading books, seeing a good movie and spending time with family and friends. Her spiritual foundation was formed and developed at her childhood family church Christian Missionary Alliance on Webster Avenue in Pittsburgh's Hill District neighborhood. In her adult life, Karen continued to worship and serve The Lord.
