Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at St. Edmond Catholic Church 4131 West Congress Street, Lafayette, LA. for Christopher "Lobb" James Williams- a Fun Loving- Caring devoted and dedicated son, father, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend-departed this life on September 17, 2021, at the age of 36.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 am until 10:00 am on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday.
Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery 610 North Main Street, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.
Christopher was born October 21, 1984. At the age of 3, George and Cheryl chose Christopher as their son. Christopher resided in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana most of his life. He attended Breaux Bridge High School.
Christopher began working in the family business at the age of sixteen. He loved helping and bringing joy to the elders. Christopher enjoyed giving a helping hand wherever it was needed without hesitation or waiting to be asked.
Christopher brought love, compassion and laughter to many, a long-time family, friend and mentor (Patrick Celestine, Sr.) expressed it best, when he said, "That was my boy, anything I needed he did it without me asking, he did more for me than most, he respected my home, he was a good child, yes, that's my boy!"
He is survived by his parents, George and Cheryl Williams; his children, Charisma Laray and Jayla LaShae Williams; devoted friend, Charlie Sneeze and her daughter, Sha'Hiri; maternal grandmother, Dora Belvin; his biological mother, Adrienne Moreland; uncles, Junius Williams (Irma), Charles Williams (Marie Gayle), Sidney Williams, Sr., Charles Lee Belvin Jr. (Yolanda), Jeffery Wright (Gwen), and Rodney Bowser; aunts, Claudia Farlough (Joseph), Gloria Tassin (Percy, Sr.), Wanda Pryor (Makale), Charlestine Cooper (Larry), Priscilla James (Charles), Stephanie Belvin, Debra Spikes, Pearl Williams, Gladys Antoine, Sharon Calais (Patrick), S. Denise Washington; great aunts, Elnora Freeman (Charles), Audrey Snyder (Larry), Joyce Gautreaux (Israel), Irene Deroncelay, Helen Belvin, Agnes Landor, Madeline Remaker, Alice Mae Alexander; great uncles, Raymond Belvin and Matthew Derousselle (Eula); godparents, Eva and William Mouton; Nannies, Theresa Dalcourt and Laura Brook; godchild, Reginae Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Christopher was preceded in death by his brother, George Daniel Williams; paternal grandmother, Lena Alexander Williams; grandfathers, Charles Belvin, Sr. and Dalton Williams; cousin, Michael "Scooby" A. Taylor, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Celestine Jr., Michael Wilson, James Gains Jr., Joseph Huval Jr., Derrick Celestine, Kendal Davis, Sidney Williams, Jr., and Davin Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Belvin Jr., Patrick Celestine Sr., Charles Belvin III, Rashida Williams, Russell Davis, Kenneth Williams, Jeffery Wright Jr., and Charles James.
