Christopher Levoyd Wilson "Chubby" as he was known by his loving family and friends made his earthly departure on March 7, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem. He was born on December 12, 1959 to the late Leonard Howard Wilson and Mary Christine Townsend Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William "Buddy" and Lucy Townsend; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Beatrice Wilson; three brothers, Arthur "Bruce" Townsend (Ethel), Glenn "Tub" Wilson (Vickie), and Donald Fitzgerald Wilson.
He was raised in High Point N.C. and educated in the High Point Public School System. He was loved by many, and it was a joy to be in his presence.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Kymberli Bowden-Wilson; five brothers, Larry Townsend (Vivian), Leonard Wilson (Lennette), William "Punkin" Wilson (Marie), Darrell Wilson (Beverly), Demetrius "Sean" Wilson; four children, Cortney Shanae of Sumter, S.C., Brent L. of Baltimore Md., Kingston and Zoey of the home; one grandchild, I'Sean Macer, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and a special brotherly bond with his longtime friends that remained by his side.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 903 E. Kearns Avenue. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
