Christy DeWild, 53, passed away peacefully in her home in St. George, Utah. She now follows her mother and her youngest son in death, reunited with them in eternal rest.
Born and raised in St. George, Utah, Christy carried a fun and caring spirit throughout her life. She was known for her strong will and remarkable resilience. Despite lifelong health challenges, she never gave up, meeting every obstacle with determination and courage. She wasn’t a perfect mother, something she acknowledged with honesty, but she loved her children, Stephanie and Trent, deeply and unconditionally.
Christy married Damon DeWild, and together they welcomed their two children, Stephanie and Trent. The bond she shared with them shaped every part of her life. She affectionately called Stephanie “Sissy,” a name filled with warmth and tenderness. And even after Trent passed away at the age of 9, he remained forever cherished in her heart, his memory a source of constant love and strength.
Christy is survived by her daughter Stephanie “Sissy”, her son-in-law Nick, and her grandsons, Emmett and Dean. She is preceded in death by her mother and her beloved son Trent.
Private services were held for family and friends who gathered to honor her life, her courage, and the love she shared.
Christy’s legacy continues in her family, in the love she gave, the memories she leaves behind, and the resilience she carried through every moment of her life. Rest in peace, Christy DeWild.
