Christine Rodriguez, lovingly known as Christy, was born on July 19, 1974, in Miami, FL. She graced the world with her presence for over five decades, dedicating her life to education, family, and the simple joys of everyday life. Christy departed from this world on April 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication.
For twenty years, Christy shared her passion for teaching at the Renaissance School in Miami, where she nurtured young minds with kindness and understanding. Her role as an ESL teacher for first graders in the Clifton Public School System allowed her to connect with and inspire countless children, imparting the gift of language, cultural appreciation, and the importance of education. Her colleagues and students remember her as a beacon of warmth and caring, a testament to her giving and family-oriented personality.
Christy cherished her family deeply. Her marriage to Juan Barroso, which spanned two decades, was a partnership anchored in love, respect, and shared dreams. Together, they raised their son, Brandon, whom Christy considered her proudest accomplishment. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she found joy in spending time with her niece sand nephews, eagerly helping them with school projectsmoments that created lasting memories of laughter and support.
Her love for life was reflected in her interests, which included arts and crafts, musicals, and beautiful beach days. One of her fondest memories was a memorable trip to Barcelona with Juan, where they created a tapestry of experiences that deepened their bond. She found tranquility in nature, admiring cherry blossom trees and the vibrant hues of daisies, sunflowers, and tulips, which brightened her surroundings and brought her peace.
In her final days, her niece Gaby exemplified the spirit of family by lovingly caring for Christy, showcasing the deep bonds that defined this compassionate womans life. Christys absence will be profoundly felt not only by her husband Juan, her son Brandon, and her sisters Mabel, Leticia, and Lucy, but by her close friends Marlene, Samy, and Bibi, several nieces and nephews, as well as her extended family at the Renaissance School, who will carry her memory in their hearts.
The Celebration of Life for Christine Rodriguez will take place on April 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Halpin-Bitecola-Brookdale Funeral & Cremation Services in Bloomfield, NJ. As we gather to celebrate Christys beautiful life, we will reflect on the generous spirit she shared with us and the love she radiated, a guiding light that will continue to inspire all those lucky enough to have known her.
