Christy Louise Stempien

With heavy hearts and deep love, the family of Christy Louise Stempien announces her passing on November 15, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on October 25, 1974, in Dearborn, Michigan, Christy was the cherished daughter of Dennis R. Stempien and Connie Rossetta Hall. She was a lifelong Michigander and most recently made her home in Carleton, Michigan.

Christy was a devoted and proud mother whose world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved children: Ashton Stempien (Madison Breining) and Devin Stempien (Ashleigh Wohlfeil). Her greatest joy was being Mimi to her grandchildren: Devin Stempien Jr., Cheyenne Stempien, Aydan Stempien, Kaison Stempien, Lillian Stempien, Asher Stempien, Giavanah Stempien, and Aubriella Counts. She was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Easton Stempien, whom she adored.

Christy’s love extended deeply into her large family. She is also survived by nieces Sevannah Stempien, Elizabeth Stempien, and Brianna Stempien; her brother Dennis “Boomer” Stempien Jr. and his wife Christina; and nephews Dennis Stempien III and Austin Stempien. She was preceded in death by her sister, Aimee Stempien, whose memory remained close to her heart.

Throughout her life, Christy was surrounded by treasured friends who became family—Sue Mink, Darlene Bliss, Krystal Mosgrave, Michelle K., Beth Mink, and many others whose lives she touched with humor and kindness.

Christy built her career serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), proudly earning her certification and caring for those in need with compassion, patience, and a gentle heart. Her work was not simply a job—it was a calling.

She had a warm, joyful spirit and was known for her jokes, storytelling, and ability to make others laugh. She loved preparing meals for her family, spending time with her grandkids, and caring for her beloved dogs Foxie and Zola. Some of her favorite things included Mexican food, playing with her dogs, loving on her grandchildren, and any moment spent with her mother, Connie.

Services for Christy Louise Stempien will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Solosy Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, Michigan. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM, followed immediately by the funeral service at 1:30 PM. Christy will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Michigan.

Christy leaves behind countless memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
