Family First Funeral & Cremations Services - MarcellusCarol A. Stempien, born on November 23, 1944, in Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025. She was a beloved figure to many, whose life was marked by unwavering faith and devotion.
A proud graduate of Coldwater High School, Carol was known as a devout Christian woman who exemplified the virtues of kindness, compassion, and grace throughout her life. On April 18, 1964, she married her devoted husband, Robert C. Stempien Sr. in Coldwater, MI, embarking on a journey filled with love and partnership that would last a lifetime.
Carol's greatest joys were found in her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert, and her two sons, Robert C. (Cathy) Stempien Jr. and Brian J. (Suzy Larson) Stempien. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren: Noah, Haylee, Amber, Alexis, Logan, David, and Benjamin, along with her ten great-grandchildren: Amazaiah, Bella, Kaelyn, Jacob, Jackson, Rayner, Radley, Alora, Sterling, and Sutton. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she adored spending time with them, sharing laughter and building memories.
Carol's life was enriched by her deep love for music, particularly singing, and she cherished moments spent out on Coldwater Lake, enjoying the serene beauty while riding in the boat. She also enjoyed the company of her siblings, Kathy, Shanna, Tom, Barb, and Sherry, with whom she nurtured deep bonds of love and support. Preceding her in death were her parents, James Mancini and Cecile Gaulin; her son, Timothy Eric Stempien; her brother, Joe Gaulin; and her sister, Mary. Their memories remain a treasured part of her story.
As we remember Carol A. Stempien, we celebrate a woman whose life was a testament to love, faith, and family. She has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. She will be profoundly missed but forever held in the hearts of her family and friends. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Coldwater Lake Association Building, 516 Warren Road, Coldwater, MI 49036.
