It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Christy Ann Wyrick, who departed this life peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on July 3, 1972, in Guilford County, North Carolina, Christy spent her entire life in her cherished hometown, where she also took her final breath.

Christy was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, and friend, whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Pete Wyrick, whose memory she held dear throughout her life.

Christy dedicated herself to her work with both diligence and passion. She spent eleven years working with D. H. Griffin in Greensboro, where she formed many meaningful connections. Later, she brought her skills and enthusiasm to Anua Environmental as an accountant, where her dedication and hard-working nature were greatly admired.

Beyond her professional life, Christy had a zest for life and a wide range of interests. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time at the beach. She had a passion for music and true crime televison shows and stories. She had an unwavering faith in God. Christy enjoyed astrology and inspirational quotes. Her love of fast cars and motorcycles brought her much excitement, while her loyal dog, Max, was a constant companion by her side. Christy also had a great appreciation for stand-up comedy, which never failed to bring laughter into her life.

Her faith was an integral part of her identity, and her love for God guided her through all of life's challenges and triumphs.

Christy's memory will forever be treasured by her surviving family: her devoted son, Austin Shelton, and his wife, Lauren, of Reidsville; her loving mother, Gail Wyrick, also of Reidsville; her brother, Richard Wyrick, of Reidsville; and her nephew, Douglas Wyrick. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Christy's life will be held at two o'clock on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service, located at 2110 Servomation Road, Greensboro, North Carolina 27407. The family will graciously receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
