Chu was a man of quiet strength who expressed his love through food, hard work, and the care he put into everything he did. He was always cooking, sharing meals, and making sure everyone around him was fed and cared for. The family's small dogs were naturally drawn to him, perhaps because of his gentle spirit, or maybe simply because he always smelled like something delicious.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry, his daughter, Sharon (Matt Lonsway), his son, James (Lauren), and granddaughters Eleanor and Olivia. His humor and devotion will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
A private service will be held for family and close friends.
