Charles E. "Chuck" Davidson, age 82, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully on Friday at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born on August 9, 1943, in
Sinking Spring, Ohio, the son of the late Paul E. Davidson and Mary Ruth (Spence) Davidson. Chuck lived a life marked by dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to education, family, and community. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Chuck went on to earn his master's degree in educational administration from Xavier University. He devoted 35½ years to the Lynchburg-Clay Local School District, where he made a lasting impact on generations of students and staff. For 26 of those years, he served as the High School Principal, a role he embraced with fairness, leadership, and genuine care for every student who walked through the doors. Chuck was respected not only for his professionalism, but for his belief in young people and his desire to see them succeed. On September 11, 1965, Chuck married the love of his life, Margaret Gorman Davidson. Together they shared six decades of marriage built on love, partnership, and unwavering support. Family was at the heart of Chuck's life, and he took great pride in his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Davidson; two daughters, Melanie (Tim) Parry of Hillsboro and Michelle Campbell of New Vienna; six grandchildren, Zach Campbell, Tyler (Katie) Campbell, Hope (Britton) Haines, Blake (Angela) Tira, Emma Parry, and Ethan Parry; and three great-grandchildren, Korbyn Dean Campbell, Crew Christopher Campbell, and Kolston Dean Haines. He is also survived by his brother, William (Ramona) Davidson of Miamisburg, and his sister-in-law, Rita Davidson of Rochester, Michigan. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Davidson. Chuck will be remembered for his steady guidance, kind heart, and the positive influence he had on countless lives. His legacy lives on through his family, former students, colleagues, and all who were fortunate to know him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Troy Roush officiating. Burial will follow in the Buford Cemetery.
