Albert Charles Veid

Albert "Al" Charles Veid, 84, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Saint Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. Al was born October 2, 1941, in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Hughes High School in Cincinnati, OH, Class of 1959 and the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy Class of 1963 and went on to receive his Master of Business Administration from Xavier University, Class of 1986. Most of his career was in hospital pharmacies. After a stint in Dayton, OH at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, he returned to Cincinnati, where he was the Director of Pharmacy at Deaconess Hospital. Also, the last 3 years Director of Diagnostic Services was added to his duties. He managed the Deaconess Apothecary before retiring to work part-time in retail pharmacies, ending with one day a week in the pharmacy at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital, Edgewood, KY. He enjoyed golf with the ParHopers League at Reeves Golf Course, Cincinnati, OH, playing pool and visiting with friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Albert Veid and Henrietta Augusta Veid (nee Grossheim); three siblings: Edward Carl Veid, Claire Marie Mangum and Carl Albert Veid. On December 5, 1998, he and Sue Allender Banis married during a small family wedding at Highland United Methodist Church, Fort Thomas, KY. Al is survived by his wife Sue Veid; three daughters: Teresa (Steve) Schrader, Laresa (Ed) Fahey and Natalie (Brian) Deep; twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews that loved him and held him in the highest esteem. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
