Chuck Satterwhite Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferreira Funeral Services (Macclenny) on Jan. 17, 2026.
Satterwhite - Charles "Chuck" Edwin Satterwhite, Jr., age 67, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at his residence. Chuck was born in Miami, Florida on April 1, 1958, to the late Charles Edwin Satterwhite, Sr. and Mary Rose Alston Satterwhite. He was raised in Miami and Fort Pierce, Florida, and proudly graduated from John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce in 1976. Chuck furthered his education at the University of Central Florida, where he earned his bachelor's degree before beginning a long and dedicated career in the insurance profession.

On October 22, 1977, Chuck married his best friend and lifelong partner, Kelly Crews. In March of 1981, Chuck and Kelly relocated their family to Baker County, Florida, where they built a life rooted in faith, family, and community. Above all, Chuck was a born-again Christian who was a devoted leader and teacher of the Gospel, not only to his family but to everyone he encountered. His love for Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, was evident in all he did. A true servant with a heart of generosity that was unmatched. In 2002, Chuck selflessly donated one of his kidneys to his childhood friend, Ed Hearn. His love for others was deeply felt by all who knew him.

He faithfully supported several youth groups, youth ministries, and missions, always helping to provide whatever was needed.

His favorite book in the Bible, which helped guide and shape him throughout his life, was the Book of Proverbs.

Chuck's roles as a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather were his greatest joys. He cherished time with his family and proudly served as their anchor and guiding presence.

An accomplished entrepreneur, Chuck owned and operated his businesses with great success. For the past 46 years, he owned and operated the State Farm Insurance Agency in Macclenny, Florida, and for 14 years, from 1998 to 2012, he was the owner of Wendy's fast food restaurant in Macclenny.

When not working, Chuck loved traveling with his family and often planned vacations that created lasting memories. Trips to Kingsley Lake, Snowshoe, West Virginia, among various other destinations that will be forever cherished.

An avid outdoorsman, Chuck enjoyed hunting white-tailed deer. Always active and athletic, he was proficient in many sports and enjoyed staying engaged and competitive throughout his life.

Chuck's life was marked by unconditional love, deep faith, generosity, selfless service, and integrity. He touched countless lives through his kindness, leadership, and devotion to family and his amazing community. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the legacy he leaves behind will be cherished forever.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Satterwhite, Sr. and Mary Rose Alston Satterwhite. Chuck leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Kelly Kay Crews Satterwhite of Macclenny, FL; sons, Jared (Meg) Satterwhite of Glen St. Mary, FL, Josh (Crystal) Satterwhite, Jordan (Ulyssa) Satterwhite and Jacob (Cierra) Satterwhite all of Macclenny, FL; sister, Betsy (Scott) Granacher of St. Johns, FL; grandchildren, Joel, Peyton, Maddie, Brayden, Hunter, Adalyn, Gracie, Emilee, Avery, Kaytlen, and Kyleigh; great grandson, Cohen; along with several extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Chuck's Life will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at Glen Baptist Church with Pastor John A. Raulerson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the church.
