Chun Cha Wagner

Chun Cha Wagner was called to eternal rest on February 26, 2026. A descendant from South Korea, Chun Cha was born in Tokyo, Japan on April 25, 1945. Chun Cha lived a life of deep devotion to her family.

She is predeceased by her parents, Chanhey Choi (father), and Sunhee Jung (mother), her three older brothers, Duk-young Choi, Tal-hyung Choi, Chun-ok Coi, and her granddaughter Victoria Colozzi Holt.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry E Wagner; her kids, James E Wagner, and Pamela (Eric) Holt; grandchildren, William (Victoria) Holt and Nari Wagner; sister, Chun-ok (Young-rae) Cho; younger brother, Sang-chul Choi, and nephews Hyuntae Cho and Hyunsoo Cho.

Her father ran a business in Japan during Japan's colonial period. After some time her family migrated back to Korea. Her father then started a candy business which was bombed during the Korean War. The hardships she endured during that time period was an experience that not many could withstand. She spoke of playing in a field hearing her mom call for her as planes and bombs were descending. This was the building blocks of her being. She carried herself with grace, strength and perseverance. After a period, she met Larry. Larry was in the Army and stationed in Seoul. Their love blossomed and they were married in an intimate ceremony in Korea. Then after Larry's service was completed he brought his family back to the states. This is where Chun Cha's perseverance and strength shined. She adapted to a new culture, language, and surroundings while being a devoted wife and mother. As time passed, she found her heritage in her friends and kept her Korean traditions. Adoring beautiful Korean dresses for special occasions. Her once-a-month gatherings with friends, sharing traditional Korean cuisine and Korean card games. Growing up we were also able to embrace that culture through her love for cooking. This is how she showed her love to all. If you stopped over to visit, know you would leave with a full belly. Many enjoyed her eggrolls and kimchi, her personal recipes. She herself, engulfed on a small business venture with Jimmy, selling her eggrolls to local grocery stores. Her talent and skill was special, she never measured ingredients, she didn't have to. She also loved to garden, grow vegetables and be in nature. She spoke often of her walks in the fields of Korea, mountains and waterfalls. She was quite an outdoorsman as exemplified in many camping trips. She could be found moving rocks in the stream to form a pool or building a mud volcano with her grandson. As she aged, camping transformed into glamping that she enjoyed with her granddaughter.

She was known for her relentless work ethic, working at Kodak until she became pregnant with her second child then on to electronics at ENI. In her greater years she entered into various food services and child care.

Chun Cha loved her family and grandchildren fiercely. This was portrayed by cooking multiple meals in one sitting to get her grandson to eat and by leaving her home for months to care for her granddaughter. She is a strength that will live on in those who remember and love her.

Calling hours will be held on March 12, 2026, from 4-6pm at Miller Funeral Home located at 3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, 14623. A closing prayer will be held at 6pm.
