Ciara Rose Kayea

Ciara Rose Kayea, 27, of Saranac Street, Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family and friends by her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh, on September 22, 1997 the daughter of Henry Kayea Jr and Mary (Tidwell) Ormsby.
Ciara attended Peru Central School and has worked various jobs in every industry. She made so many amazing friends along the way. Ciara would be the first person to go to for comfort or help. She always greeted everyone with a beautiful smile, endearing compliment, and the tightest hug. She had the most infectious laugh that would leave everyone giggling with her. Ciara loved the outdoors and could always be found by the water. She was an animal lover at a young age and didn't matter what animal, dogs, cats, cows, elephants, etc. Her greatest passion was her love of family, friends, and especially her children. She was a devoted mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend.
A beautiful kind soul taken way too soon. We will forever remember your light and know that darkness can no longer reach you. Rest easy, beautiful girl.
Left to cherish the memory of Ciara are her beloved children, Lucas Mancel Coon, Athena Elizabeth Kayea, and Colton James Kayea; mother, Mary (Tidwell) Ormsby and her husband, Jason; sisters, Ariel Kayea, Amanda Martino, and Sophia Martino; grandmothers, Pan Latour and Deborah Baucom; and her nephew, Cedric Maloney.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Mancel Tidwell and Earl Baucom.
The family would like to thank the staff at UVM ICU for the incredible care Ciara received during her time there.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 1 to 3 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
